Account Handler / Broker – Data Driven Climate Risk

Bruin Financial

Ref: 42860
Fancy a change from the standard P&C Risk ?

We’re seeking an experienced Account Handler from a Property & Casualty (P&C) background to join a specialist team within a leading Lloyd’s broker. This role combines traditional account handling with active broking exposure, supporting the placement of innovative, data-driven risk solutions for clients operating in climate-sensitive and emerging risk sectors.

You’ll work alongside senior brokers and underwriters in the Lloyd’s and company markets, managing complex international placements, preparing documentation, and delivering exceptional client service. This position offers an ideal platform for someone looking to broaden their technical expertise and move toward a more front-facing broking role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the placement, renewal, and servicing of complex risks across global markets.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate market submissions, slips, endorsements, and client documentation.
  • Liaise with underwriters to negotiate competitive terms and structure bespoke solutions.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, ensuring responsive, high-quality service delivery.
  • Assist in the design and presentation of new, data-informed insurance solutions.
  • Maintain compliance and administrative accuracy across all stages of the placement process.
  • Contribute to market research, data analysis, and innovation initiatives within the team.

About You

  • Solid experience within the London Market, ideally from a P&C broking or account handling role.
  • Understanding of complex commercial placements and Lloyd’s processes.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clients and underwriters.
  • A proactive mindset with curiosity about climate, resilience, and emerging risk trends.
  • Working toward Cert CII or similar professional qualification (preferred).

What’s on Offer

  • The opportunity to join a progressive, data-driven team tackling some of the most dynamic risk challenges in today’s market.
  • Exposure to forward-thinking insurance structures supporting climate resilience and new risk models.
  • Career growth within a respected Lloyd’s broker, with mentorship from senior specialists.

Competitive package, hybrid working, and ongoing professional development.
