Bruin shortlisted for REC diversity award

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) recently announced their 2021 Awards shortlist, with Bruin recognised in the inaugural Diversity Champion of the Year category.

This award is aimed at companies that have successfully demonstrated diversity and inclusivity on multiple levels within their organisation.

The REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) Awards showcase the UK’s recruitment talent, recognising achievement across different levels, disciplines and categories. Now in its 12th year, the annual awards showcase the work of brilliant recruiters throughout the industry – from agency to in-house and start-ups to multinationals.

You can see the full shortlist on the REC website here.

Managing director, Emily Ayre said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for our contribution to diversity in recruitment. Bruin are vocal champions for D&I and are proud of the reputation we have built in this area, internally as well as externally.

“We want our employees to be the best they can be. We aim to do this by providing an inclusive environment where they are supported and valued, and our consultants are empowered to bring about change; guiding our clients and candidates so they can also access the benefits of a diverse workplace.

Our approach to this is multidimensional, with comprehensive strategies across gender, ethnicity, social mobility, disability, neurodiversity, age, mental health and sexuality. This shortlisting is further confirmation that industry leaders agree that we are doing the right thing.”

Bruin has received a number of awards for our D&I initiatives, including most recently the TALINT International award for Diversity & Inclusion in 2020 and 2019 (for we are also shortlisted in 2021), and the Recruiter of the Year Award at the Women in Finance awards.

The REC awards will be presented at an event at the Royal Lancaster London on 25 November.
