Senior Account Handler – Financial Institutions
A leading global insurance broker is seeking a Senior Account Handler to join its Financial Institutions operations team, supporting some of the largest and most complex banking, insurance, and investment accounts in the London Market.
The Role:
This position focuses on the precise and technical administration of high?value, multi?jurisdictional financial institution placements. Working closely with client-facing teams, you will play a critical role in renewals, documentation, regulatory compliance, and London Market slip production, contributing directly to the efficiency and quality of service delivered to key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer large and complex Financial Institutions accounts, including annual renewals
- Prepare and manage compliant MRCs, London Market slips, endorsements, quotes, and indications
- Ensure accurate tax schedules and regulatory compliance across major placements
- Support onboarding of new clients, including due diligence and sanctions checks
- Act as a technical resource on tax, regulatory, and London Market requirements
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, insurers, and third parties to resolve queries efficiently
- Maintain accurate records and meet performance targets in a fast?paced environment
- Mentor and support junior account handlers on large accounts and London Market protocols
- Build effective relationships with central service and operations teams at all levels
About You:
- Extensive experience in insurance broking, account handling, or operational roles
- Strong technical knowledge of London Market practices, slips, MRCs, and tax considerations
- Experience supporting large, complex financial institution placements is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator able to support internal stakeholders on complex portfolios
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting Financial Institutions
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Professional qualifications (ACII or equivalent) advantageous but not essential
