I’m exclusively working with a leading specialist insurance advisory and broking team that is continuing to expand its Sports & Entertainment portfolio, already one of the largest and most diverse practices of its kind. This search is focused solely on individuals already operating within the Sports & Entertainment insurance market who can bring sector expertise, established relationships, and the ability to further grow a high performing portfolio.

The Role

This hire will play a central part in developing and expanding existing Sports & Entertainment accounts while contributing to the acquisition of new, high value clients. You will work in a fast paced, relationship driven environment covering high-profile areas such as:

  • Major sports events and tournaments
  • Rights holders, governing bodies, federations, and clubs
  • Talent and performer risk
  • Touring production, live entertainment & global events
  • Media, broadcast, film & production
  • Contingency, cancellation & non appearance
  • Venue and stadium operations
  • Athlete, team, and commercial rights exposures

Your remit will be heavily focused on portfolio growth, existing account expansion, and supporting the team’s continued dominance in this specialist market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of Sports & Entertainment clients.
  • Lead renewal strategy, client management, and programme design for complex risks.
  • Provide high-level advisory support and technical expertise to major clients across the sector.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing relationships and drive new business conversations.
  • Lead market negotiations with insurers across specialist Sports & Entertainment lines.
  • Support strategic initiatives and broader practice development alongside senior leadership.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the overall capability of the Sports & Entertainment division.

Who We’re Targeting

This opportunity is strictly for individuals already operating within the Sports & Entertainment insurance market.

You may currently be:

  • A broker specialising in sports, major events, entertainment, film/TV, or contingency risks
  • A client executive or development focused account handler working with Sports & Entertainment portfolios
  • A technical specialist or underwriter with deep Sports/Entertainment product knowledge and client interaction
  • A market professional managing relationships with rights holders, governing bodies, promoters, federations, studios, or production organisations

You will bring:

  • Proven experience already managing Sports & Entertainment insurance risks
  • Strong technical grounding across the key specialty lines relevant to the sector
  • A network of industry connections and comfort working with high-profile clients
  • A track record of developing accounts or supporting growth initiatives
  • Strong communication and relationship-building capability
  • Commercial awareness, negotiation strength, and the ability to deliver strategic value
