Marine Cargo Broker

The Role

We are working with a growing boutique Lloyd’s broker in London seeking an experienced Marine Cargo Broker to join their expanding marine team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated broker to take ownership of a varied international cargo portfolio and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Broking and placement of marine cargo risks into the Lloyd’s and company markets
  • Managing and developing an existing portfolio of international clients
  • Producing market presentations, slips and underwriting submissions
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with underwriters
  • Supporting new business development opportunities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, underwriters and overseas correspondents
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA and Lloyd’s regulatory requirements

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience broking marine cargo risks
  • Strong understanding of the Lloyd’s market
  • Proven ability to negotiate and place risks effectively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
