We are partnering with a growing Lloyd’s Syndicate to recruit an MGA Underwriting Assistant to join their Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their London Market career looking to develop technical underwriting knowledge and gain exposure to a variety of MGA classes, including Bloodstock, Trade Disruption Insurance (TDI), and Aviation.
This role sits at the intersection of underwriting and operations, supporting both the accuracy of policy records and broader administrative functions within the MGA platform.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate risk data within the MGA Policy Administration System (PAS), Insureflow/Sequel MGA, and related platforms

Support Underwriters across Bloodstock, TDI, and Aviation classes with day-to-day administrative tasks

Validate and input underwriting information, process endorsements, and manage manual closings

Liaise with brokers, address premium queries, and support resolution of paid vs. written variances

Assist in the preparation of regular and ad hoc business reports

Scan, log, and organise policy documents, slips, and placing data

Keep abreast of operational and technical updates affecting the MGA platform
Candidate Profile:

Some experience in the Lloyd’s/London Insurance Market preferred

Strong administrative and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail

Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a proactive and inquisitive nature

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

Desire to build a long-term career in insurance operations and underwriting

Willingness to study towards CII qualifications (support provided via apprenticeship route)

Strong IT skills, ideally with familiarity using electronic underwriting systems
