Overview:
We’re partnered with a highly respected MGA, backed by 100% Lloyd’s capacity, in the search for an experienced Terrorism Underwriter to lead and grow their global book of business. This is a senior strategic role offering significant autonomy, leadership, and the ability to write large lines across multiple territories.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a market-recognised underwriter OR Broker with deep expertise in Terrorism and Political Violence, looking to step into a leadership role with the backing of a nimble, well-capitalised underwriting platform.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Terrorism portfolio globally – with authority to write and price risks independently across a broad geographic scope.
• Manage and expand a profitable book of Terrorism & Political Violence risks, including standalone and embedded structures.
• Build and lead a small team of underwriters and analysts, mentoring and developing talent.
• Maintain strong broker relationships, primarily through the London market and key global hubs.
• Ensure underwriting discipline and adherence to capacity providers' risk appetite and compliance frameworks.
• Contribute to strategic planning, including product development, territorial expansion, and innovation in wording structures.
• Liaise closely with capacity partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring performance transparency and alignment.

Key Requirements:
• Experience in Terrorism / Political Violence underwriting (carrier or MGA side) OR Broking
• A strong track record of portfolio profitability and broker engagement.
• Existing broker network in the London and/or international specialty market.
• Strong knowledge of Lloyd’s underwriting standards, regulatory considerations, and line structures.
• Commercial mindset with experience managing or mentoring underwriters.
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
