Bruin Financial
Ref: 44269
Account Executive – North American Direct & Facultative (D&F)
Location: London
Salary: Up to £75,000
I’m supporting a confidential London-based (re)insurance broker that is expanding its North American Direct & Facultative (D&F) division following several new business wins. As part of this growth, we’re seeking an experienced Account Executive who can immediately step into handling sizeable, complex NA D&F accounts.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who has spent 3–5 years within a North American D&F environment and is ready to operate with autonomy from day one. You’ll be responsible for coordinating end to end placement activity, producing key documentation, and acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full placement lifecycle, including underwriting submissions, MRCs, wordings, and endorsements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, underwriters, wholesalers, and market representatives.
- Prepare MRC slips, policy documents, certificates, and support full compliance workflows.
- Monitor workflow, documentation accuracy, and ensure all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Contract Certainty, LMBS) are met.
- Work with senior leadership to identify business development opportunities and assist with structuring complex programs.
- Contribute to process improvements and promote collaboration across internal teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of NA Direct & Facultative experience.
- Strong technical understanding of North American placements.
- Excellent organisational discipline with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communicator with the confidence to support major accounts and multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive problem solver who can anticipate issues and streamline processes.
If you’re looking for a role where you can make an immediate impact within a growing division, I’d be happy to discuss further.
