Operational Risk Manager – Banking

I’m seeking an Operational Risk Manager to join a growing second-line Risk function within a banking environment. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders to oversee and strengthen the Operational Risk Management Framework and promote a strong risk and control culture.

The role will focus on core operational risk activities including Risk and Control Self-Assessments, operational risk events, key risk indicators, control assurance testing and management information reporting. You will act as a credible second-line partner and challenger to the first line of defence, supporting robust risk identification, assessment and remediation while providing clear, pragmatic insight to senior committees.

This opportunity will suit candidates with solid operational risk experience gained within banking or financial services, who are confident engaging with the business and regulators and enjoy moving beyond process into analysis, challenge and influence. Strong communication skills, sound regulatory awareness and the ability to balance detail with proportionality are essential. A great opportunity for an operational risk professional looking to progress their career in a broad, visible role with meaningful impact.
