A leading Financial Services business is looking to hire an Operational Tax Manager to join their team and focus on their Pensions business, including workplace pension schemes, personal pensions, and other products. The role will also support the wider Operational Tax team providing advisory and oversight of Operational taxes, so knowledge of FATCA, CRS, and other Product Taxes will be a huge plus.

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide tax business partnering and advice business initiatives, identifying and managing potential product tax risks and exposures.
- Oversee product tax compliance and reporting, including technical guidance to customers and HMRC, primarily across pensions, with exposure to ISAs and other retail investment products.
- Act as a subject matter expert on product taxes, providing technical input and sign?off for new product launches, legislative changes, and updates across Product, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Support tax year?end activity and ongoing engagement with tax authorities, auditors, advisors, and industry bodies, ensuring robust processes, controls, and investigations are in place.
- Drive continuous improvement of product tax systems, processes, and control frameworks to deliver an efficient, well?governed tax service across Pensions and ISA businesses.
- Monitor product tax legislation (e.g. pensions, PAYE, ISAs, FATCA, CRS) and clearly communicate impacts, risks, and recommendations to both tax and non?tax stakeholders across the business.
Preferred background:
- Experience within a Operational or Product Tax role within the Pensions space, or in a consultancy with exposure to Pensions.
- Preferably a recognised relevant qualification (CTA, AIIT, CIOT, ACA etc.)
- Good knowledge of UK Taxes, regulations and HMRC guidance, specifically in reference to UK pensions and savings product taxes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical issues in a clear manner to a broader audience with different levels of tax knowledge.
- Must have right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
