Underwriter – Cargo & Yacht (MGA – London based)
Base salary: £75,000–£110,000 (DOE)

An established and fast?growing MGA is seeking a Cargo & Yacht Underwriter to join its Marine team. This is an excellent opportunity to underwrite within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where decision?making is fast, collaboration is strong, and underwriters are empowered to shape the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite risks across Cargo and Yacht lines within delegated authority.
- Cultivate strong broker relationships across the London Market to drive profitable growth.
- Support ongoing portfolio development and contribute to the MGA’s wider Marine strategy.
- Work closely with senior members of the team on underwriting approach and market positioning.
Requirements
- Around 5 years of underwriting experience within the London Market.
- Strong technical understanding of Cargo and/or Yacht risks.
- Experience operating within an MGA or carrier environment
- Comfortable working in a fast?paced, agile setting with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong communication and relationship?building skills.
Ideal for Career Progression
The position is also well?suited to a high?performing Assistant Underwriter in Marine (Cargo and/or Yacht) who is ready to step up into a full underwriting role. Support and development will be provided.
