We are working with an exciting growth-focused asset manager to appoint a Senior Client & Sales Support Manager to lead and evolve its UK distribution support function. This is a strategically important role supporting the continued expansion of the firm’s presence across both wholesale and institutional channels.
Sitting at the centre of the commercial organisation, the role will partner closely with sales, marketing, and investment teams to ensure distribution professionals are equipped with high-quality materials, strong operational infrastructure, and robust reporting. The successful candidate will also lead a team responsible for enabling efficient client engagement and supporting business growth across the UK market.
This opportunity would suit an experienced asset management professional who combines strong distribution support experience with leadership capability and a passion for building scalable commercial processes.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Managing and developing a team responsible for supporting distribution activity across multiple client segments, ensuring clear priorities and consistent delivery standards
- Acting as a trusted operational partner to senior sales leaders, helping ensure that client engagement and business development activity are supported effectively
- Overseeing the creation and maintenance of high-quality client presentations, pitchbooks, and other sales materials
- Ensuring sales teams are well prepared for client meetings through the coordination of briefing documents, supporting analysis, and follow-up actions
- Maintaining visibility over sales opportunities and client activity by managing pipeline tracking and reporting within the CRM platform
- Facilitating the preparation and submission of RFPs, due diligence responses, and related materials in partnership with specialist teams
- Providing the distribution team with insights on competitors, market developments, and product positioning to support new business conversations
- Promoting disciplined use of CRM systems and sales enablement tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistent reporting practices
- Ensuring all client-facing content adheres to internal standards for accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency
- Implementing structured workflows, templates, and governance frameworks to improve efficiency and consistency across the sales support function
- Producing meaningful management information on activity levels, pipeline progress, and commercial performance
- Working with marketing colleagues to align campaigns, client communications, and events with distribution priorities
- Partnering with investment teams to ensure that client materials accurately reflect strategy positioning and performance drivers
- Liaising with compliance, legal, and risk teams to maintain appropriate governance around sales processes and materials
- Identifying areas where technology, automation, or improved processes can enhance the effectiveness of the sales support operation
The ideal candidate should have:
- Significant experience within asset management or a closely related financial services environment
- A proven background in sales support, distribution operations, client servicing, or sales management within an investment firm
- Experience building and managing teams, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management
- Strong understanding of institutional and wholesale distribution channels and their operational requirements
- Practical experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
- Good knowledge of investment products including UCITS funds, segregated mandates, equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear client-friendly language
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
- High attention to detail and confidence working with investment performance and portfolio data
- A collaborative and commercially minded approach, with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities
