My client, a well-known Financial Services business, are looking to hire a Senior Regulatory Accountant to join their Finance team. This role support the Financial Controller across Regulatory Reporting, Financial Controls and Performance Reporting.
Job Title: Senior Regulatory Accountant
Location: London (Hybrid – 4 days in office per week)

Salary: £75,000 – £85,000
Role Responsibilities:
- Preparing submissions to regulators, including FCA submissions, MIFIDPRU disclosures, ICARA process, modelling of regulatory and liquid capital, wind-down scenarios, and stress-tests.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations including FCA and SOX, and keeping up to date with any changes that may impact requirements.
- Developing and implementing processes in line with new and updated reporting standards, and identifying opportunities for improvement and streamlining to drive efficiency.
- Supporting the financial controller with the maintenance of the control environment and preparing financial statements, as well as support auditors during audit process.
Preferred background:
- Essential:
- Strong experience of dealing with regulatory bodies and managing reporting and compliance for FCA regulations.
- Experience of IFRS and UK GAAP, alongside experience of working within a controllership function.
- Experience within the Financial Services industry in the UK.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

- Desirable:
- An Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Systems skills including advanced excel skills, and preferably exposure to Oracle and Hyperion financial systems.
- Experience of continuous improvement of processes, with a focus on process automation.
- Capable of working to tight deadlines, working both autonomously and as part of a larger team.
