A leading Global Investment Bank are looking to hire a Valuations Controller within their FICC Finance team, focusing on Credit products. The team covers valuation controls including IPV, valuation adjustments and prudent valuation adjustments across the globe.
Job Title: FICC Valuations Controller (VP)
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office per week)

Salary: £80,000 – £110,000
Role Responsibilities:
- Calculate and analyse valuation controls, including Independent Price Verification (IPV), valuation adjustments, prudent valuation, and manage quarterly disclosures.
- Collaborate with the Global Valuation team to review and enhance valuation control methodologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory rules and governance standards.
- Streamline valuation processes and contribute to system development, including technical enhancements, automation, and integration of new product releases.
- Work closely with key stakeholders (Front Office, Global Valuations, Risk, Accounting Policy) to implement appropriate accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate procedure documents and lead business forecasting routines, including reviews for new products.
Preferred background:
- Ideally Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc) or CFA with knowledge of accounting concepts.
- Up-to-date knowledge of complex non-linear products and their valuation.
- Recent experience within Valuation Control within a Fixed Income business.
- Proficient in creating valuation methodologies and process automation.
- Experience in a Global business, preferably an Investment Bank.
