Internal Consultant – Valuation (Luxembourg)

An international alternative investment house is seeking a Valuation Consultant to join its Luxembourg office. This newly created position forms part of a growing programme aimed at strengthening valuation governance and cross-functional oversight across a broad AIF platform. While the initial focus will be on valuation review and analytics, the role also offers optional exposure to risk, finance oversight and operations as business needs evolve.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong valuation background—particularly those coming from audit (valuations), fund administration, or middle-office valuation teams—who want to join a world-leading alternative investment management house.

Role Responsibilities of the Valuation Consultant:

• Review valuation models, third-party valuation reports and internal valuation materials, ensuring robust challenge and high-quality outputs.
• Review NAVs and investment-level data, assessing consistency, methodologies and key assumptions.
• Coordinate with valuation teams globally and support discussions with service providers.
• Prepare valuation analysis, dashboards and materials for committees and senior stakeholders.
• Support the onboarding of new funds and valuation processes.
• Contribute to enhancements in valuation procedures, data quality, controls and automation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and offshore resources to ensure efficient execution.

The Valuation Consultant will meet the following criteria:

• 4–6 years’ experience in valuation (audit valuations, fund admin valuations, or middle-office valuation roles).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to challenge assumptions.
• Knowledge of alternative investment strategies (PE, credit, real assets).
• Proactive, organised and confident communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills and appetite for improving processes.
