Reinsurance Operations Manager
Bruin Financial
Ref: 41216
We’re looking for an Outwards Reinsurance Operations Manager to take ownership of reinsurance administration and governance across a globally respected specialty (re)insurer & Syndicate. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide oversight of outsourced reinsurance activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence in support of our client's risk strategy.
This is your opportunity to join a market-leading company with platforms in Bermuda, London, Australia, and the US — and to play a central role in how we manage risk, structure protection, and deliver strong returns.
We’re looking for someone with:
? 5–8 years of experience in outwards reinsurance, ideally across both treaty and facultative programmes
? Deep understanding of reinsurance operations, loss triangles, IBNR, and financial reporting
? Strong analytical and project management skills, with a detail-focused mindset
? A collaborative style – able to work closely with underwriting, claims, finance, actuarial, and external partners
? Solid experience managing outsourced providers and holding them to high performance standards
? Familiarity with reinsurance admin systems and exposure management tools
? Professional qualifications such as ACII, CPCU or similar (or progress toward them)
You’ll be coordinating reinsurance activity, overseeing data accuracy and recoveries, supporting renewals, and preparing insightful reports for senior leaders and Board committees — all while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory and governance frameworks.
This is more than just an operations role — it’s your chance to lead a vital function in a business that’s known for underwriting discipline and innovation.
