 New Role Senior Legal Counsel Markets: 
Liquidity and Financing 

Focus on supporting and advising the business areas covering: Margin Services, Liquidity and Securities Financing solutions for buy side clients.
This role can be based in London or Manchester

The Role
 

• Legal coverage and Advisory for: Margin Services, Liquidity and Securities Financing solutions for the Bank’s  buy side clients

• Support the execution of strategic business initiatives
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with clients and third parties.
• Advise and support the development and deployment of new products and change program in line with applicable law & regulation
• Advise on relevant legal and regulatory developments, to effectively support the business in managing legal and regulatory risks

Candidate Profile
 

• A qualified Lawyer with relevant experience gained from a leading law firm or financial institution
• Knowledge of one or more of liquidity, custody, collateral, execution services and securities finance products
• Strong product legal/commercial contractual negotiation experience
• Knowledge of some or all of the regulations applicable to the above products (including CASS, MIFID (including UK equivalent) and PSD2)
• Understanding of English law security structures
• Strong legal advisory skills and attention to detail
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills
• Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Able to work collaboratively with strong communication skills
• Enthusiastic in engaging in and developing a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion

The bank has a flexible working program in place with 4 days / week in the office
