Reinsurance Broker – International Property & Casualty (P&C)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing reinsurance broking firm, offering broad exposure across technical, client-facing, and strategic responsibilities within the P&C Treaty reinsurance space.

This role would suit a motivated and technically astute reinsurance professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative and high-performing team, where innovation, growth, and client service excellence are at the heart of what they do.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Placement Support

    • Assist in designing optimal reinsurance broking solutions
    • Create and review reinsurance documentation for clients
    • Negotiate with markets to secure the best quality, coverage, and price
    • Mentor and support junior team members

Client & Market Engagement

  • Manage and coordinate project work and tender processes for new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and market counterparts.
  • Stay informed on market trends and developments to enhance client service delivery.
  • Represent the firm in a professional and client-centric manner.

Strategic Contribution

  • Support the development and execution of team strategy and growth plans.
  • Assist with client renewal processes and support new business initiatives.
  • Contribute to management discussions and business development efforts.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee administrative and operational tasks to ensure best-in-class service.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of reinsurance broking experience, ideally with exposure to P&C reinsurance.
  • Solid understanding of reinsurance products, wordings, and placement processes.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and genuine interest in reinsurance optimisation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Additional language skills would be advantageous.
  • Financial literacy, with the ability to understand insurer financials and how reinsurance structures can support their strategy.
