Head of Prudential Risk – Wholesale Banking

A leading international wholesale bank is seeking a Head of Prudential Risk to oversee the full spectrum of capital, liquidity, market, strategic and model risks across the Group. Reporting to the CRO, this is a high?visibility role providing second?line oversight and driving a robust prudential risk framework.

You will play a central role in reviewing and challenging ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP, stress testing, regulatory reporting, treasury activities and enterprise?wide risk assessments. The position requires deep technical expertise across prudential regulation (CRD/CRR, PRA supervisory expectations, Basel and EBA frameworks) and strong analytical capability to assess complex risk positions and emerging regulatory developments.

Success in this role demands excellent stakeholder and governance engagement: you’ll work closely with Treasury, Finance, the CRO, ALCO and wider senior management to influence decision?making, shape risk appetite and ensure high?quality prudential oversight. Model Risk Management experience is also highly beneficial.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced prudential risk specialist from a UK wholesale banking environment looking to take ownership of a broad, strategically important portfolio of risks.
