Lloyd’s Broker Implementation Lead
Bruin Financial
Ref: 44229
Interim Consultant – Lloyd’s Processing Broker Setup (Greenfield Build) – London Market
I’m supporting a well-backed, growth-focused London Market platform on a genuinely strategic hire – an experienced consultant to design and deliver the full setup required to operate as a Lloyd’s-capable Processing Broker.
This is a 3–6 month initial consultancy engagement leading to end-to-end design, build and implementation.
The mandate:
-
Define the full end-to-end operating model for processing broker activity
-
Translate business requirements into systems, data and workflow design
-
Build processes, controls and governance aligned to Lloyd’s and FCA expectations
-
Map regulatory obligations – SMCR, conduct risk, delegated authority standards, CASS (if applicable)
-
Develop risk register, controls matrix and oversight framework
-
Specify future-state roles, skills and resourcing model
-
Deliver a structured implementation roadmap through to operational go-live
You’ll act as SME and programme lead – working cross-functionally with compliance, technology, risk and senior stakeholders – producing documentation suitable for Lloyd’s and FCA scrutiny.
We’re looking for someone who has:
-
Demonstrable London Market broking operations experience
-
Strong understanding of delegated authority, TOBAs, bordereaux and distribution chains
-
FCA regulatory knowledge including conduct and client money
-
Experience building or transforming broker operational capability
-
The credibility to operate autonomously and at steering-committee level
This is suited to a senior operations consultant, transformation lead, or former COO/Head of Operations profile who has built broker capability before and understands what “good” looks like in a Lloyd’s context.
If you’ve led something similar – or know someone who has – I’d welcome a confidential discussion – Jordan.McKenna@bruinfinancial.com.
