People Partner (Employee Relations & Projects)- West Midlands- c£50k plus benefits

 

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for driving positive employee experiences, managing complex employee relations cases, and delivering impactful people projects?
Our client, a respected and forward-thinking financial services organisation, is looking for a People Partner (Employee Relations & Projects) to join their dynamic and collaborative People Team. This role is critical in supporting both day-to-day employee relations activity and the delivery of strategic HR initiatives that shape the future of their organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and best practice.
  • Lead investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, performance improvement plans, and other casework.
  • Provide coaching and support to line managers to build confidence and capability in managing people matters.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Support and lead HR projects and change initiatives (e.g., policy development, organisational change, employee engagement, well-being programmes).
  • Use data insights to identify ER trends, recommend proactive interventions, and support continuous improvement.
  • Partner with wider HR teams (Talent, Reward, L&D) to deliver integrated people solutions aligned with business strategy.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role with a strong focus on employee relations, ideally within financial or professional services.
  • Comfortable managing a wide range of complex ER cases with sound judgement and attention to detail.
  • Track record of delivering or contributing to HR/people-related projects.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance business needs with employee experience.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
