Diversity & Inclusion
At BRUIN Financial we realise that our recognised expertise in financial services recruitment means that we occupy a position of influence. Every year we provide job opportunities for thousands of job seekers in some of the leading global financial services organisations. As a result we are in a position not just to talk about diversity and inclusion, but to drive them forward. We therefore take our responsibilities in this area very seriously.
It is our belief that attracting, retaining and developing a diverse pool of talent is in the best interests of any organisation. The basis of our own diversity strategy is to recognise that people are different in all sorts of ways, not just visibly, for example in race or gender, but in other ways, such as personality or social background. By recognising and acknowledging these differences they become a strength, driving business performance and helping us to unlock the potential of everyone who works at BRUIN Financial.
Working at BRUIN means being part of a high performing team delivering the highest levels of service to our clients and candidates with passion and integrity. We perform best when we harness the complementary skills, knowledge, backgrounds and networks of a wide mix of people who together work in an environment that is inclusive and is totally respecting of individuals.
Diversity is integral to our business and informs every aspect of the way we work with our clients and candidates, as well as support our staff. As a business, we have built an exceptional reputation for championing diversity within financial services, providing workshop training to clients, running regular events with the leading organisations in this field and publishing and market leading reporting. We have also entered into partnerships with The Social Mobility Foundation, The Lord Mayor’s Mental Health Appeal and a Women Ahead, a programme for the advancement of women.
This is reflected in how we approach our own diversity objectives, prioritising opportunities for diverse hiring, the wellbeing of our staff, and a genuine commitment to work life balance. To illustrate, almost 20 different nationalities are represented at BRUIN, over 20% of our employees work flexibly on a regular basis (eg part time, adjusted working hours for school holidays, working from home), we also have a gender split of 50:50, including our senior management team, and a female to male ratio of 2:1 on our Board.
BRUIN Financial are supporters of the REC The Good Recruitment Campaign, which promotes good practice in recruitment and resourcing. By signing the charter, BRUIN is reinforcing our commitment to promote ethical standards in recruitment and resourcing good practice. Read more about the charter here.
