Senior Consultant, Insurance Team

In line with our growth plans for the Insurance practice, we are seeking a senior hire to play a key role driving our Insurance business further forward.

This is an exciting opportunity, blending both the freedom and capability to leverage our existing Insurance client base, combined with the opportunity to join as a key member of our Insurance practice at the early part of our strategic drive and growth.

BRUIN Financial was established in 2010 and has rapidly grown to become one of the leading recruitment consultancies in the UK, providing specialist services to the Financial Services market.  We currently employ 70 people working across the UK and Ireland with offices in London, Manchester and Dublin.  Our coverage predominantly services major brands across the Asset Management, Investment Banking and Insurance markets across the following functions:

  • Finance & Accountancy
  • Compliance
  • Credit & Risk Management
  • Legal
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Actuarial
  • Projects & Change Management
  • Investment & Middle Office
  • Operations

As a result of gaining substantial traction within the Insurance market and subsequent client demand, in 2017 the business invested in a dedicated Insurance desk.  The team currently totals 6 staff, including the hire of two Directors to lead the drive in the UK and a third senior hire in Dublin covering the Irish market.  The Insurance division is our key growth initiative and we have ambitions to build this practice to be one of our most significant areas of coverage.

2018 has proven to be a successful year to date. The Insurance desk has progressed ahead of target and made some excellent client acquisitions to add to our portfolio. This success has been reflected in our wider business, most notably in winning the Recruiter of the Year category in the Women In Finance Awards for our diversity initiatives, and also being recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Company to Work For. In particular BRUIN was commended for our exceptional benefits, flexible working programme and supportive culture.

In line with our growth plans for the Insurance practice, we are seeking a senior hire to play a key role driving our Insurance business further forward.

This is an exciting opportunity, blending both the freedom and capability to leverage our existing Insurance client base, combined with the opportunity to join as a key member of our Insurance practice at the early part of our strategic drive and growth.  We have set aside significant investment in growing this practice area, and this hire will be present the opportunity to be a critical contributor to this development, and someone that we will invest in and build around as we move forward.

Key Requirements:

  • Full 360 recruitment consulting experience
  • Suitable track record of new business and client development
  • This senior position will require positive role-modelling of experienced and professional high quality recruitment practices, with a reputation for high calibre and effective client engagement
  • Established client and candidate relationships within the Insurance market, with a suitable placement track record
  • A keenness to be part of a growing entity, and to be a key contributor towards the drive and expansion of our Insurance coverage
