A well established asset management client of ours is looking for a Sales/Relationship Manager to cover commercial and business development features of Wholesale and Institutional opportunities in the Southern African region.
Develop and maintain a wide range of Institutional clients and future prospects, across an extensive network of contacts.
Be the main point of contact for clients and prospects.
Create new and follow up on active business development opportunities. The candidate must create a strong pipeline of generating new business.
Monitor the RFP process for business pipeline and sign off when required.
Negotiate client contracts and agreements.
Manage the client operational set-up process.
Lead sales pitches and presentations.
Attend relevant conferences and networking events.
Keep up to date with laws and regulations in South Africa.
Manage, maintain and develop the Institutional teams marketing materials and pitch books.
Experience in Asset Management Sales, or in a Relationship Management or Business Development role.
Experience of the local South African Institutional and Wholesale markets is required.
A strong understanding of the firms investment services offered.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A team player.
The ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong at building relationships.
Ability to deliver under pressure to tight deadlines under pressure.
