One of our highly regarded and well-known asset management clients is currently seeking an ambitious Head of Sales Support to permanently join their team in London. Today, the firm is one of the largest independently owned investment managers in the UK that serves a variety of clients including individuals, families, entrepreneurs, charities, trustees, professional advisers and businesses.
As the Head of Sales Support you will be required to provide and coordinate vital support for the client facing sales team. Moreover, you will be acting as a proactive office-based extension of that team to ensure an optimal amount of time is spent by sales individuals meeting with prospects and clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
-Contacting both new and existing clients to promote upcoming conferences and events which the role will assist arrangements for and attend, then coordinate follow up communications.
-Carrying out market analysis to identify opportunities for fund sales with professional clients to ensure that the sales teams regional visits are as efficient as possible.
-Handling and coordinating the responses to investor queries via telephone and email, providing prospects and clients with information and data on behalf of the sales team.
-Devising a Gold Standard of client service going above and beyond the standard requirements to create a personalised service on behalf of the sales team.
Key requirements include:
-Fundamental understanding of the fund management industry and institutional investor base
-Previous fund sales experience, gained within an asset manager, hedge fund, boutique or the funds division of a larger financial institution
-A broad understanding of institutional and intermediary fund buyers and the process they go through for buying new funds
-Degree educated or equivalent
