BRUIN financial is looking for an Operations & Corporate Actions Specialist to join a leading, global asset manager. The ideal candidate will have previous corporate actions experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and communicate voluntary corporate actions to Investment Management, obtain election directives from Investment Management and communicate elections to custodians.
Process voluntary and mandatory corporate actions timely and accurately throughout internal systems.
Perform reasonability tests, as appropriate to verify NAV impact to fund.
Perform position reconciliations between internal records and custodians.
Update the blocking or unblocking of shares in the order management systems.
Foster partnerships and communicate effectively with fund accountants, portfolio managers, traders, team members, custodian banks, brokers, and other customers.
Maintain knowledge of market specific processes related to corporate actions.
Provide back up support to other team members in Trade Confirmation and Settlement when needed.

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in custody or mutual fund accounting.
Strong computer skills including, Microsoft Excel, Word, Bloomberg, Tableau.
The ability to multi-task while working in a deadline driven, structured and medium to high stress environment.
Ability to recognize and advance issues timely.
Real passion for analysis, research and to resolve issues based on application of previous experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting or business is desirable.
