Operations Manager up to £50k + bens

To be a hands-on manager taking responsibility for a busy administration department providing exceptional service to consultants and clients. To manage day to day the team and their workloads, making sure throughput of work and continuity of the support provided.


• Effective people management for a team of 20 staff
• To oversee the management of work through put within the department
• Active management of team’s workflow tasks, allocating appropriate cover to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Providing exceptional support to our advisers by ensuring continuity of service
• Making sure any services and work outputs are aligned to the policies and procedures as outlined by the business.
• Working closely with the other Department Heads to ensure any new or existing processes have been adopted across the teams in a consistent way.
• Identify any development and training requirements and ensure competency of staff members within their role.
• Ensure correct use of the Companies nominated technology, Intelligent Office and Virtual Cabinet.
• Be responsible for initial stage recruitment for the staffing requirements across the administration teams making sure competency based recruitment process is in use, aligned to the Companies way of operating.
• Create induction plans for any new starters in the department and ensure active guidance, until probationary sign off.
• Provide team meetings, staff reviews, 121’s, back to work interviews, exit interviews and disciplinaries where needed across the department, following due process.
• Working closely with the other Department Heads to ensure the business operates in a collaborative way and that processes deliver efficiencies when transitioning from one department to another.
• Use the technology available to use MI available in order to communicate any issues or problems that require escalation to senior management.
