Our top tier Investment Banking client is looking for an Senior Assistant Corporate Secretary to join their team based in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity as it allows you to grow your career as an assistant secretary in a well known global bank. Working in their legal team you will gain exposure to global divisions of bank, providing board support and corporate governance services.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange, attend and take minutes for all committee and board meetings
• Advise the boards on the group policies and facilitate compliance with the group legal entity governance requirements
• Contribute to board effectiveness reviews and participate in director training
• Oversee the use of governance tools.
• Maintain the registers for legal entities ensuring that they are in compliance with corporate law and handle the fillings with local companies registry
• Manage authorized signatories and powers of attorney
• Take ownership of all ad hoc projects and the daily procedures set out in plans and quality standards
• Lead discussions and build relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent and ICSA qualified
• Previous experience in a corporate secretariat environment
• Proven experience in scheduling, preparing agendas and minute taking
• Good attention to detail and the ability to independently work
