My client is an established independent Insurance Broker who focus on building long term client relationships with like-minded companies who are looking for bespoke, quality and competitive insurance solutions for their business needs.
Due to substantial growth within their claims team a permanent position for a Senior Claims Handler has arisen dealing with claims across Commercial classes of business.
Your new role working as a Senior Claims Handler responsible for Commercial risks, means you will provide an efficient, professional and reliable Claims service to their their clients. You will be responsible for creating new claims files upon receipt of new claims notifications, creating entries and updating financial records on the relevant system.
You will liaise with and advise Clients on claims procedures as well as liaising with Loss Adjusters, Surveyors and/or Lawyers, colleagues and Insurers on claims.
You will be negotiating settlement of claims with both Clients, Insurers and their advisers and where required attend face to face meetings.
You will be responsible for drafting and sending standard correspondence. You will be required to answer calls, using own judgement on the referral of callers to a senior colleague and ensure all information is accurately recorded. You will also liaise with the Accounts team when dealing with claims payments.
The successful candidate will have experience of handling Liability, Professional Indemnity, Property and D&O Claims.
You must posses excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire confidence in those around you. You will also have the ability to prioritize your own workload
