Our client, a globally recognised financial services firm, is looking for a Global Head of SOx, to join their Finance division based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure that SOx and Operational Risk frameworks align, whilst managing the relationships between internal and external key stakeholders including Global Finance, Group Audit and Regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the firms continued Sarbanes Oxley (Act 302 & 404) regulatory compliance.
• Responsible for the Annual SOx Compliance Attestation.
• Lead and develop an effective global team.
• Half year and year end reporting for Group Disclosure and Audit Committee.
• Identify and deliver SOx training requirements.
• Ensure completion of COSO 2013 enhancements to SOx 404 attestation process.
• Embedding changes made to SOx methodology in 2018.
• Liaise with Internal and External Audit, as the main contact point of SOx assessment.
• Managing relationship between SOx’s main stakeholders (Global Finance, Risk Assessment Committee, Audit Committees and regulators).
• Lead the various SOx’s accountable parties (e.g. SOx coordinators, BRCMs, Entity Level Control Owners).
• Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and inclusion.
• Ensure full coordination with the entire Finance Control Office team.

Role Context:
• The role will report directly to the Global Finance Chief Control Officer.
• Will be managing a global team of teams based in markets, under SOx scope, i.e. Hong Kong, UK, US, Canada, France, UAE and Mexico.
• Nature of role requires working contact with senior executives.
• Awareness of financial environment and internal/external factors.

• Relevant Finance and Control knowledge, with experience working in multiple legal entities.
• Understanding of Finance operating model at Group, Business and Country levels.
• Proven experience as a leader in a large matrix. Implementing end-to-end processes.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
