One of our financial services clients is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is based in Bath and is a perfect opportunity for an individual who is looking to take on a managerial finance role. Working in the finance division you will contribute to the fees and charges operations and the financial management of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the first port of call for members of your team, providing them with sound leadership through training, guidance and constant support.
• Lead team meetings and provide a structured plan for the team.
• Keep track of individual and team performance and ensuring that targets are met and set
• Provide feedback to the finance manager on individuals and the teams performance
• Oversee and review the calculations and payments of fees and charges for customers, advisers and the platform. Identifying any issues and suggesting improvements.
• Oversee and control all queries in regards to fees and charges, escalating all queries and complaints
• Knowledge of risk appetite statements and how they apply to this business area
• Awareness of businesses risk, ensuring that they are controlled and mitigated

Skills Required

• Hold an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent qualification through experience
• Good attention to detail in order to be able to review and check over the calculations
• Understanding of manual and transactional processes
• Proven Management experience
• Financial services experience is desirable
• Proficient user of excel
• Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm
