Leading Asset Manager seeking a Data Privacy Manager to join their team in London. You will be the Data Privacy SME as part of a wider Global Privacy Program.

Key Responsibilities
• Acting as the firm’s data privacy subject matter expert/spokesperson, both internally and externally
• Enhancing the global privacy framework
• Drafting, communicating, and overseeing privacy policies and procedures
• Assessing privacy-related risks arising from the firm’s operations
• Assisting the business in designing controls for managing privacy compliance
• Leading incident responses, including data breach preparedness
• Monitoring the effectiveness of privacy-related risk mitigation and compliance measures
• Driving privacy-related awareness and training among employees
• Partnership with the CISO to ensure alignment between information security and privacy programs
• Continued assessment and interpretation of new global privacy laws and their applicability

Skills/ Experience required
• 10+ years’ professional experience; financial services industry a plus
• Experience serving as a Data Privacy Officer or advising companies on privacy program design, implementation, and governance
• Sound understanding of global data protection laws, including but not limited to GDPR
• CIPP certification desirable
• Excellent communication, listening, and writing skills
• Strong presentation skills; demonstrated ability to present to committee boards and senior management
• Pragmatic and comfortable working with ambiguity
