Leading European Bank seeking an Shipping credit Officer to join their London office.
Preparation, review and checking of facility letters and security documents produced by job holder and other CU staff, where appropriate.
Preparation and review of security files pre new facility drawdown, ensuring all legal issues addressed.
Review any account excess requests submitted, ensuring all necessary information is available to sanctioner.
Overview of Credit Unit diary to ensure entries relevant and actioned appropriately.
Review of all ship finance related management information provided by Group Shipping Division and/or the Ship Finance Portfolio Manager and provide appropriate summaries and recommendations to Credit Unit management and the Credit Committee, to ensure there are no adverse issues which could materially affect viability of lending proposal.
Analyse credit submissions preparing detailed summary of proposal and recommendation to sanctioning authority
Review of Bank instructed property valuation reports to ensure there are no adverse issues which could materially affect viability of lending proposal.
Projects as allocated by Head of Credit/Deputy Head of Credit.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Banking and Credit background
Ship Finance experience, in particular private Greek ship finance experience
sound working knowledge of private-Greek ship finance structures, the risks attaching to these and the specific credit analysis / techniques used to evaluate such transactions.
Knowledge and understanding of all relevant aspects of security and current Case Law.
Knowledge and understanding of principals of Lending/Credit Assessment.
Understanding of regulatory/compliance requirements relevant to ABL
