Leading Asset Manager seeking a Front Office Controls Manager to join their London office
Key Responsibilities
• To aid in supporting the enhancement and embedding of the Front Office risk and control framework, both regionally and globally. This is a key strategic objective for the firm.
• Contribute to the ownership, development and maintenance of a Front Office risk and controls reporting and MI dashboard to management and formal committees/boards.
• Operate the risk Incident Management (errors) process for Fixed Income, Equities and Multi Asset teams, ensuring incidents are raised as appropriate, investigated, remediated, communicated and closed when actions are agreed or resolved.
• Work on the Investment procedures to ensure that they remain up to date and current and that a procedures management process is in place and operating
• Work on the management and co-ordination of the process mapping activities to ensure that maps are complete, reviewed and approved by the relevant parties.
• Contribute to the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment process in respect of the Front Office together with Operational Risk and ensure that it is properly maintained and updated and thus used a key management tool for Front Office.
• Assist in all front office controls-related projects on an ongoing basis.
• Support with control related tasks on an ongoing basis
• Support with Audit or Compliance issues/actions pertaining to the Front Office and the production of reporting/MI.
• Address and resolve issues arising out of any of the above
• Support with the Front Office Trading systems with regards user access, permissions, and associated lists regionally/globally.
Skills/ Experience required
• Knowledge and experience of Asset Management processes, products and controls.
• Strong risk and controls mind set
• Strong capability to produce, maintain and analyse various risk and control related reporting/MI/dashboards
• Quick to assess business activities and processes and identify gaps and scope for development o
