I am currently working with a client in Manchester who are recruiting for a Specialist Infrastructure Analyst. The position will sit within the infrastructure team who is primarily responsible for providing first line break/fix for the distributed systems (server and infrastructure) where the issue is a problem with any functionality. The role will involve working collaboratively as a team member to support the systems in a production environment and to restore service as soon as possible.
Leading incident resolution conference calls with multiple support groups, identifying process improvement opportunities within the group and leading them through to resolution.
Respond to and manage escalation requests with the ability to verbally communicate situational updates concisely to different levels of management.
Plan and coordinate changes with other groups.
Provide support and perform scheduled maintenance and health checks of distributed resources.
Provide support for technology resources and applications running on Windows and UNIX platforms and assure the safety and stability of corporate infrastructure to minimize customer impact caused by incidents.
Skills and Experience Required:
Thorough knowledge on Unix/Windows Platform
Basic knowledge of Backup and Restore
Use of terminal emulators
Experience of leading technical conference calls and working with multiple teams to find a solution to incidents pertaining to Windows and Unix issues
Basic knowledge on AWS and/Azure cloud experience
Experience on ticketing tools (Moogsoft/Remedy/Service now/Grafana)
