I am working with a client in Sheffield who are currently recruiting a Technical Business Analyst. This role is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of models and methodologies for FCR Analytics risk measurement.
Work with project leader in the review and improvement of the existing suite of models and methodologies, to support improvements to the systems and data infrastructure supporting deployment of the traded risk models.
Take delivery responsibility of analytics for Risk & Coverage, AML Scenarios, Contextual Models and Event Triage.
Effective communication with the FCR Analytics team at both Regional and Group levels to ensure that there is a strong common understanding of the risk models and that best practices are being applied.
Provide bespoke analysis for new business to help ensure that the business can make appropriate risk/capital assessments.
Develop close and effective working relationships with Global Business to ensure impacted parties and well informed.
Engage with stakeholders at the right level, on the right issues and in the appropriate context to obtain a deeper understanding of their business and responsibility.
Skills and Experience Required:
Experience as a Business Analyst preferably within a financial services setting or a Compliance setting.
Proven ability to work with stakeholders and business sponsors.
Hands-on experience in using data manipulation/mining languages such as SQL.
Ability to analyse large amounts of data efficiently, draw conclusions on what the data means and actions required.
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a numerate or related field, or equivalent experience.
