We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join a global asset management firm in their EMEA/APAC team on a contract basis, based in London. You will have the opportunity to undertake various business finance support activities and contribute towards the growth of the business with a “can-do” attitude and continuous improvement mindset.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Finance related analytics, along with oversight of EMEA and APAC compensation scheme reporting.
  •  Budgeting, planning, financial analysis and cost control to a variety of business areas.
  • Input and oversee production of various EMEA and APAC business area BAU, Forecast and cost reports.
  • Manage compensation data information via strong relationships with HR and controllership.
  •  Produce quarterly compensation reports for senior management.
  •  Efficiently produce insightful and well thought out analytics.
  •  Lead the continuous improvement of processes through understanding information flows and challenging current practices where necessary.
  •  Improve the level of understanding of the financial data in the team to enable its members to better assist and support the business.
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reports and analyses on a timely, accurate and consistent basis as required.
  • Ensure and encourage good communication throughout the team that will allow the successful interaction of the Finance operating structure.

  • Project Work
    • Transitioning reporting processes away from Excel to tools including PowerBI, Qlikview and WD Adaptive Planning
    • Analysis of cost base and product range
    • Compensation scheme reviews
    • Assist in developing cost structure and hierarchy [in Workday]


Key Capabilities:

  • Broad experience working within a finance team, with strong experience of monthly management reporting and analysis, ideally in UK and US GAAP.
  •  Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and gravitas to facilitate effective working relationships with senior staff and management within the business including an ability to challenge the status quo.
  •  Problem solving skills and a desire to understand complex situations.
  • Able to advance multiple priorities simultaneously through strong work planning / project planning skills.
  • Client and commercial focus
  • Excellent analytical skills with intellect to both develop and challenge explanations and arguments.
  • Fully qualified accountant.
  • Strong Excel skills.
