A top tier International Investment Bank is looking for a bright, energetic professional to join their Product Control team in London for a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. This person will be responsible for producing and analysing the trading division’s profits and losses. The role requires liaison with the trading desks, the Risk Management Group and the Operation teams.
- Preparing daily, monthly and quarterly P&L’s and Balance Sheets for Treasury, Loan and Deposit products.
- Daily and month-end analysis of FX trading P&L, hedge accounting analysis and hedge effectiveness testing.
- Interaction with traders and trading management as well as review and escalation of unusual activity to management.
- Maintain an understanding of all the developments and issues of the trading areas, assessing market, compliance and reputational risks.
- Participate in month end procedures, including preparing accounts for the firms general ledger.
- Project Work to strengthen and improve controls in systems and workflows.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant for at least 3 years or Qualified by experience with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Financial Product knowledge including: FX Derivatives, Bonds, MM Deposits, Loan Products and Interest Rate Swaps
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively under pressure and with demanding clients
- Highly computer literate
