About the Company:

 

One of Europe’s largest hedge fund firms has created a new Paralegal role to join its growing legal department. The role requires a dynamic individual with previous experience working in the financial services market. The company operates on a flat structure so you will have plenty of exposure to senior stakeholders within the business.

 

 

About the Role:

 

In the role, you will support the Senior Counsels with drafting legal agreements, and assist with the preparation for board and committee meetings. You will also be responsible for KYC checks and help deliver on upcoming legal projects.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and be capable of delivering high-quality work to specific deadlines.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Drafting legal documents including corporate governance docs e.g. board minutes
  • Reviewing legal agreements and responsible for EGUS agreements
  • Assist in all aspects of the planning, preparation and execution of board meetings including preparing agendas and other corporate governance materials
  • Maintaining the legal databases and filing system with accurate information
  • Dealing with KYC requests and onboarding of new counterparties
  • Supporting the legal team with specific projects

 

 

Skills & Qualifications Required:

 

  • Law degree or similar qualification
  • At least 1 -2 years of experience working in a similar role as a paralegal
  • Experience working within the financial sector would be beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within the team as well as independently – often have own workload to manage
  • Good organisational skills – are often working to deadlines
  • Confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
