We are excited to support our client, a Lloyd’s Broker with offices in central London, in their search for a talented and highly experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join the firm. Reporting into the Chief of HR, this is a newly created and exciting opportunity with plenty of variety involved, supporting on strategy for both growth and M&A activity across Europe. You will be a major player in asserting a strong HR backbone for the business, overseeing a variety of implementations alongside the support of the firm’s management team.
What you’ll do
As the Senior HR BP, you will be taking on a variety of roles that all come together to create one cohesive HR experience for the organisation’s employees. You will be responsible for partnering across a variety of teams to lead on various strategic missions within the firm, working in lockstep with Senior Leaders to to power the business’s initiatives forward. As you collate and present changing metrics and developments within the HR function to present to key leaders, you will be able to support senior stakeholders with your own insight and findings to ensure the team grows from strength to strength. You will also have the opportunity to travel to France occasionally as part of this role, so an individual happy to take on European travel will find this to be a benefit!
Your responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the HR Head in aligning business strategy into various initiatives that affect all facets of the HR process, including D&I, Employee Engagement, Health & Wellbeing, and so on
- Embedding succession planning and promotion into the business
- Working to identify new ways to optimise performance in teams, advising managers in how best to do so in line with your gathered business insights
- Overseeing on all ER issues across the region, contributing to developments and changes in policy affecting it where appropriate as well as supporting on complex queries
- Supporting the Diversity & Inclusivity team through an understanding of governance and best practice
- Leading on other matters within HR, including performance management, sickness, and grievance-related matters
What we’re looking for
The right candidate for this role must have prior demonstrable experience working as an HR Business Partner, with a strong background working across a business’s EMEA functions. They will have ability to serve as the first point-of-contact for their client base.
They must be happy to travel to mainland Europe from time-to-time. They must be a charismatic yet professional member of the team, able to gain buy-in with stakeholders and employees alike. Any experience maintaining their presence within their past organisations will likely prove advantageous.
Finally, the right candidate will likely be CIPD Qualified at any level or have an equivalent qualification, and will be willing to highlight areas of improvement they observe within the business – it is in this way that they will be able to contribute both to the growth of the firm as well as their own professional growth within the business.
