Health & Safety Manager

We are working with a leading UK Financial Services Consultancy with the search for their newly created Health & Services Manager position. The client in question nurtures a truly inclusive and 'employee-first' mentality with this role being at the heart of this by leading the creation through to implementation of a winning Health & Safety strategy. 

As Health & Safety Manager you will be responsible for being the senior ambassador for all best practices and informing changes to improve safety arrangements that comply to all legal obligations and standards. You will be supported by a team of Facilities Supervisors across the numerous UK office locations, ensuring they too are focused on keeping the business up to top standards! 

As the Health & Safety Manager your day-to-day duties would include:
 

• Collaborating with senior management within the business to ensure that the strategy is being adhered to companywide.
• Ensuring and making recommendations for any training programmes that need to be rolled out across the business to improve safety awareness and standards. 
• Confidently leading multiple members of staff across each of the UK sites to ensure there is a level of harmony throughout the standards being produced from an H&S perspective. 
• Leading the wider Health and Safety team
• Assisting Health & Safety member to implement health and safety systems and process and ensuring they meet specified requirements.
• Providing advice and guidance on all thing’s health and safety to the wider organisation

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a similar role and retain advanced knowledge of effective health and safety management. A relevant qualification and an understanding on the importance of investigation and risk mitigation would be desirable.
