Legal Counsel Investment Management London City Based

Our client a leading global investment management firm is seeking a Funds Legal Counsel to  focus predominantly on UCITS funds. Based in London and working as a member of a close knit legal team covering the UK and EMEA,

The Role

  • Provide legal support in relation to the  EMEA and APAC fund ranges (UCITS & AIF ranges in the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg) and to be responsible for the drafting, co-ordination and management of fund prospectuses and other product documentation.
  • Draft board memos and fund documentation including Prospectuses, KIIDs and shareholder notifications (with support from external counsel where required)
  • Provide Regulatory advice to business  and implementation of changes to fund documentation
  • Advise the business in relation to the application of regulation to products the governance and approval of fund documentation changes, including Management Company and Fund Board interactions
  • Ensure that local prospectus supplements are prepared and translated as required.
  • Work closely with the relevant business teams including product development & investment management

Candidate Profile

  • UK or Foreign qualified lawyer with either Private Practice or in-house experience in UCITS funds  
  • Regulatory experience in relation to Funds ESG would be a plus
  • Logical and methodical approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to continuously learn
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to find innovative solutions within acceptable levels of risk
  • Ability to proactively build relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and prioritise appropriately across a wide range of work

City based with Flexible working ( 3 days / week in the office )
