London branch of leading International Bank seeking a Business Risk Manager to sit with their CIB in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the embedding of operational risk management framework activities across CEMEA
- Staying up to date and advising on relevant routines, laws, and regulations
- Monitor regulations and regulatory change as well as industry best practice and update the Horizon Scanning tracker as appropriate
- Support in the planning and execution of operational risk activities to reduce operational risks
- Perform risk assessments to ascertain key risks, processes and controls
- Support in the Non-Financial Risk reporting requirements into governance locally and to Head Office
- Develop technical solutions to support improve the effectiveness and efficiency across the function
- Provide support to staff on operational risk management to ensure proper adherence to the risk framework and work with risk owners to take accountability
- Risk Events/ Incidents management and follow up of incidents or loss event to ensure no systematic issues
- Coordination of training and education plan on Operational Risk across the business
- Partner with other functions to take proactive management of risks in each of the function
- Provide operational risk reporting by conducting or evaluating data, key risk indicators, root causes of incidents/events and remediation actions
Skills/ Experience Required
- 5+ years relevant risk experience, ideally from a Banking environment.
- Either 1LOD or 2LOD experience is fine
- Broad Ops Risk experience relating to Frameworks, RCSA, Tooling, Reporting, Regulations
- Can-do attitude. Happy to get stuck in, working in a small team with broad responsibility.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
