Infrastructure Engineer – Birmingham hybrid

Salary up to £40,000 

 

Our client, a well-established consultancy specialising in technology and business solutions, is currently seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team. With a strong presence across multiple regional hubs, they are committed to delivering innovative and effective solutions while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated IT professional to take on a senior role within a forward-thinking organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing infrastructure solutions, working on cutting-edge projects, and contributing to strategic IT initiatives.

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect systems, data, and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT infrastructure issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and security.
  • Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Oversee networking components, including VLAN, VPN, firewalls, and switches.
  • Manage Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal configuration and security.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to continuous enhancement of IT systems.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Some experience in IT infrastructure roles.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • In-depth understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server systems
