Aircraft Engineer – Transition into Coaching & Development
Are you an experienced Aircraft Engineer (electrical or mechanical) looking for a rewarding career shift into coaching and development? This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a new way helping to train, mentor, and develop the next generation of aviation professionals.
About the Role:
As a Coach & Trainer, you’ll be instrumental in delivering a high-quality apprenticeship programme, supporting learners in achieving occupational competence while ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed to excel in the industry. You’ll design and deliver blended learning, provide career guidance, and integrate modern learning methods such as skills competitions and problem-based learning to enhance their training experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
?? Deliver engaging coaching and training sessions, guiding apprentices through their development journey
?? Monitor and assess learner progress against qualification standards and frameworks
?? Provide pastoral support, careers advice, and welfare support to ensure learners thrive
?? Embed modern learning techniques, including problem-solving tasks and industry competitions
?? Develop teaching and assessment methodologies to meet both learner and business needs
?? Ensure safeguarding, safety, health, and wellbeing support for all learners
?? Work closely with stakeholders to keep training content relevant and aligned with industry standards
What We’re Looking For:
? Essential:
? Aircraft manufacturing or maintenance experience (electrical or mechanical)
? Strong industry knowledge with a proven track record in your field
? Effective coaching and mentoring skills or a passion for developing others
? Desirable:
? Awareness of pastoral support and learner welfare
? A1 or TAQA Assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
