I am genuinely excited to support my client, a leading Lloyd’s Broker with offices in central London, in their search for a talented and highly experienced Senior Talent Manager/Head of L&D to join the firm. Reporting into the Chief of HR, this is an exciting opportunity with plenty of variety involved, leading on strategy for Talent Development across the global business. You will be a major player in asserting a strong HR backbone for the business, overseeing a variety of implementations alongside the support of the firm’s management team.
What you’ll do
As the Head of Learning and Development/Talent Development, you will be taking on a variety of roles that all come together to create one cohesive learning experience for the organisation’s employees. You will be responsible for partnering across the senior leadership team to lead on various strategic missions within the firm, working in lockstep with Senior Leaders to power the business’s learning initiatives forward. As you collate and present changing metrics and developments within the Talent Development function to present to key leaders, you will be able to support senior stakeholders with your own insight and findings to ensure the function grows from strength to strength.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring a fit for purpose talent strategy aligning with the CHRO, to ensure synergy with the wider HR and corporate strategy
- Developing a suite of L&D offerings to support the HR and corporate strategy, aligned with the internal career journey.
- Developing and managing the overall talent management framework to include talent reviews and succession planning.
- Managing the firms’ performance management framework.
- Overseeing the firms’ regulatory and mandatory training and qualifications reporting.
- Budget management and supplier relationships
- Own the responsibility of the learning and development MI data whilst commentating to SLT
- People management of the wider L&D team
What we’re looking for
The right candidate for this role must have prior demonstrable experience working as a Senior individual within L&D in Financial Services.
