This position will be operating within their Investor Relations team, playing a pivotal role in managing global investor events, shaping the event roadmap, and facilitating the achievement of the IR team’s dual objectives – raising capital across investment strategies and maintaining strong relationships with existing investors. Collaboration and coordination with the broader Event Team is essential also.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will oversee the complete management of Advisory Board meetings and Annual Investor Meetings. This entails handling logistics, accommodations, catering, training scheduling, coordinating with external and internal workstreams, and efficiently managing on-site operations.
- Coordinating training schedules for event speakers.
- Collaborating closely with the Communications team to ensure the smooth coordination of the Conference schedule, including speaker preparation.
- Facilitating scheduling for larger and coordinating investor events.
- Taking charge of Investor Days and events related to fundraising.
- Managing event registration software and diligently maintaining event distribution lists via the CRM system.
- Managing event finances and ensuring cost control in line with company policies.
- Ensuring that all events comply with internal Compliance policies.
- Conducting post-event assessments, capturing valuable lessons learned, and actively seeking feedback from key stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the events team on various events, including maintaining an event supplier database, overseeing gifts and merchandise, and developing a roadmap for digital events.
- Coordinating and offering guidance to event staff and external suppliers.
- Collaborating with the Head of Events and local Team Leaders to appoint internal resources for events and effectively communicating expectations.
- Sharing your expertise and providing coaching to less experienced team members and colleagues across the organisation.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Prior experience in events or congress organisation, encompassing both physical and virtual events.
- Previous experience of managing events in the financial services industry
- A strong understanding of people and culture in a financial and professional services environment.
- A high degree of creativity combined with meticulous attention to detail.
- A commitment to accuracy and delivering high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Being fact-based and objective, with demonstrated judgment, particularly in critical situations.
- Self-motivation and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Self-confidence balanced with humility and a low-key approach.
- Ambition and eagerness to actively contribute to a small team.
- Willingness to travel, spend time at various locations, and conduct site visits.
