Risk Analyst (Credit)

Reputable International Trading House in London seeking a Risk Analyst to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-transaction consultation

•Analysing transactions from a risk management point of view, highlighting key risks and making suggestions regarding the most effective way to mitigate key risks.

•Being pro-active, taking initiative and having discussions with business departments during the formation stage of transactions.

•Dealing with enquires from business departments and other corporate departments

Handling credit applications

•Supplementing business departments’ applications via clear and concise written analysis to Senior Management.

•Ensuring that business activities operate within group rules and approval is granted in a timely manner.

Post-transaction monitoring

•Review customers’ ageing, collections and credit capability

To improve risk management operations

•Make suggestions and proposing solutions for the improvement of credit risk management operations

Skills/ Experience Required

• 3+ years relevant Credit or trade/transactional risk analysis experience gained in a trading company or financial institution (Essential)
• Credit Risk experience looking at commodities/ industrials/ transport/ construction/ metals preferred
• Experience/knowledge of trading business contracts (identification of contractual risks and proposal of mitigations)
• Liaising with and advising stakeholders at various levels within a multinational environment.
• Working under pressure with strict deadlines
