Leading International Fintech seeking a Prudential Risk Director to join their London office.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the department on Prudential Risks (inc credit, market, liquidity risk)
• Work closely with Finance, Treasury, Credit Risk, and Financial Partnerships to co-ordinate and perform second line oversight including policy guidance
• Oversee the design of risk appetite metrics for monitoring liquidity and capital and monitor their application. To include capital, liquidity, and market risk.
• Monitor overall portfolio credit risk (default probability, stress testing, risk rating distribution, portfolio concentration)
• Partner with the first line to define risk appetite statements and KRIs
• Perform second line oversight of regulatory reporting
• Assess the firm’s risk profile relative to its risk appetite for Prudential Risk, as well as the effectiveness of controls and status of actions required to remediate weaknesses
• Provide written Prudential Risk Oversight summaries for relevant Boards and Committees.
• Manage the relevant portions of the overall Risk Management Framework and Risk Register

Skills/ Experience Required

  • 10+ years of relevant Risk experience within financial services
  • Experience overseeing Prudential Risks including working with finance on default models and loss provisioning.
  • Experience working for a global organization and partnering with colleagues across multiple time zones
  • Understanding and experience of payments compliance/ operations/ credit risk management
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives.
