Head of Learning and Development

We are currently working with a fantastic Financial Services firm on their search for a creative and dynamic Head of Learning and development to join them in their Manchester-based office and lead a busy and successful team. This role will offer the right candidate the opportunity and autonomy to create and lead in the delivery of an agenda that encompasses all facets of L&D including; in person training, E-learning design and management development.

With the support of multiple direct reports whom you will be responsible for nurturing to reach their full potential, you will support a large organisation in the delivery of fresh, exciting learning that makes an impact business-wide.

The right candidate for this position will retain previous experience within a Senior Learning & Development capacity at a large matrixed organisation. You will be filled with innovative ideas and the know-how in how to deliver these and create buy-in from senior management downwards.
Although no two days will be the same, you will be responsible for the following;

  • Leading the creation, development and delivery of the learning strategy and business plan which will align with the business needs
  • Manage stakeholders and identify the areas of improvements needed to further grow the talent development programmes
  • Exhibit support and development plans for the multiple direct reports as they continue to add value to the team
  • Embed a high-performance and efficiency-driven learning message, placing L&D at the heart the people strategy
  • Adhere and understand the need to deliver strong technical skills training that adhere with up to date regulations
  •  

The right candidate for this role will have previously worked in a multi-site environment and understand the nuances of a customer service or high-volume client-facing business.
